Roberta (Montgomery) Zimmermann

Roberta (Montgomery) Zimmermann, of Newburgh, IN, went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.  She was born August 23, 1938 in Evansville to the late Robert and Edna Mae Montgomery.  She and her husband Frank recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. 

During her business career, Roberta worked in retail at Stewarts, LS Ayers, and 15 years at Books-A-Million.  She cared for her customers and they loved her smile.  She also loved to read and one summer helped several children with their reading difficulties in her home.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Larry at the age of 13.  She is survived by her husband, Frank; son, Frank III; daughter, Barrie Hughes; son, Randy; and three grandchildren, Amber, Lauren, Zachery.

The family would like to thank her caregivers at River Pointe Health Campus and also the Deaconess VNA hospice group.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN (812) 853-8314.  Burial will be at a later date in Sunset Cemetery in Rockport.
