Ronald Gray, 78, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born March 11, 1934 the son of Earl and Willie Belle (Oliver) Gray. Ron was a graduate of Bosse High School and Evansville College. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired after 40 years in the food sales industry. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Ralph Reyher and sister-in-law, Susie Gray. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary (Giovanetti) Gray; brother, Don Gray (Martha Sue); sisters, Maxine Reyher and Nancy Works (Dale); loving father of Mike Gray (Karen), Kim Rosenthal (Dan), Mark Gray (Lisa), and Carrie Shaughnessy (John); grandfather of Chris Rosenthal (Katie), Kyle, Joe, and Nick Shaughnessy, Dylan and Peyton Gray and Grace Gray; great-grandfather of Jonah Rosenthal. The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Mary's Palliative Care Team Staff of 6 East and Vista Care Hospice, and especially to Newburgh Healthcare for providing excellent care to Ron during the last three years. Contributions may be made, in Ron's memory, to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or Vista Care Hospice or St. Mary's Hospital Foundation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd. Newburgh, IN. Rev. Fr. Joseph Ziliak will officiate with entombment in St. John the Baptist Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time at the church. Condolences may be made @titzerfuneralhomes.com.
