Roseann S. Eblen, 71, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 25, surrounded by family.  Roseann was born on January 8th, 1950, to the late Harold and Odean Schmutzler of Huntingburg, Indiana.  She graduated from Huntingburg High School and the University of Kentucky where she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education Studies. “Rosie” worked for many years as a Speech Therapist, helping in the development of many young children across the Tri-state.

Rosie had many hobbies including her true labor of love, landscaping and flower gardening; a hobby which provided her a lifetime of enjoyment.  She also loved spending time at Lake Barkley and in her backyard pool surrounded by family and friends.  She was known and loved as a second Mom to many of her children’s best friends, all who also cherished their time spent with Rosie.  However, nothing quite brought a sparkle to her eye like her family did.  Her fondest memories were the times spent with her surviving family, including her husband of 49 years, Dr. Donald Eblen, daughter Mandi (Ashley) Titzer, son Ty (Sara) Eblen, and grandchildren Layne Titzer, Ella Titzer, Carson Titzer, Grayson Eblen and Lincoln Eblen. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Kathryn Townsend, and several nieces and nephews.

A public visitation will be held at Titzer Family Funeral Home - Simpson Chapel (812.424.9288) located at 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, Indiana on Friday October 29th at 3:00PM – 7:00PM followed by celebration of life service at 7:00PM at the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are in the care of Titzer Family Funeral Homes.
