Ruth Frances Layman

Ruth Layman, 103, of Evansville, IN passed away Tuesday morning, February 16, 2021at River Pointe Health Campus. She was born October 10, 1917 in Marion, Kentucky to the late Ruthie L. and Agnes Grace (Wigginton) Johnson.

Ruth is survived by her granddaughter, Lisa Smith (Steve) of Carrollton, Texas, grandson, Dale Austin (Judi) of Hemau, Germany, great-granddaughter, Melissa Austin of El Paso, Texas and niece, Donna Johnson (Jeff Doss) of Jupiter, Florida. 

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Layman and son, Dale Layman. 

Ruth retired from Shane Manufacturing and attended Central United Methodist Church. 

A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Rosebud Cemetery, Marion, Kentucky.
