Shirley Ann Jensen

Shirley Ann Jensen, 82, of  Newburgh, passed away Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Evansville Protestant Home.  She was born on March 12, 1937 in Elizabethtown, IL to the late Kenneth and Virginia (Winters) Austin.  She was a dental receptionist for Dr. Robert Martin for 25 years.  She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. 

Shirley enjoyed camping and traveling with family and friends especially at Patoka Lake.  She also enjoyed listening to Elvis and George Strait and she was a member of the Red Hat Society. 

She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and friends.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Jensen.  She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Jensen and Jennifer Horn (Randy); seven grandchildren, Zerrick Jensen (Mandy), Ashley Field, Hillary Smith (Eric), Andrea Lance (Scott), and Chasity Oliver, Stephanie Hurst and Jennifer Hurst; eight great-grandchildren, Chandra, Scott, Madison, Navji, Carter, Gage, Raelynn and Paisley Ann; one great great-granddaughter, Rose and special friend, Tammy Hurst.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN  47630, (812) 853-8314, officiated by Rev. Bobby Chapman.

Visitation will begin at 12, noon Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at a later date in Flourine Cemetery, Rosiclare, IL.
