Visitation: Thursday 3-8
Services: none
Steven Ray Brown, 59, of Merom, Ind., formerly of Evansville, went to the
Lord on Friday, October 12, 2012 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in
Indianapolis, Ind.
God saw he was getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His
arms around him and whispered "Come with Me". With tearful eyes we
watched you as you joined your father, James H. Brown and mother, Minnie
D. (Humphrey) Brown. When days are sad and lonely, and everything goes
wrong, we seem to hear you whisper, "Cheer Up and Carry On". Each time
we see your picture you seem to smile and say, "Don't cry, I'm in God's
Hands, we'll meet again someday!"
Steven was a proud member of Local 37, Heat and Frost Insulators in
Evansville.
He is survived by his wife of 22 ½ years, Debra (Beckner) Brown, and
blessed with five children, Michelle Beckner, Corey Freels, Melanie Brown,
Racheal Brown (Kerry Aldridge), and Amanda Wade (Shawn Wade); ten
grandchildren, Brooklyn Aldridge, Jacob Freels, Jazlyn Wade, Olivia
Brown, Gage Wade, Elizabeth Freels, Connor Freels, Mia Brown, Mikaila
Brown, Issaiah Steven Brown. Also surviving are his sister, Carol Betz and
her husband, Greg Betz.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday October 18, 2012 at
