Sylvia Mae Padgett, 76, of Evansville, Ind., passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at her home. She was born June 26, 1938 in Long Island, NY to the late Sylvester N. and Laura E. (Miller) Hess. She worked at Holiday Nursing Home and Deaconess Hospital, in food services for 26 years. She loved her five cats and her dog, Jessie. Sylvia is survived by three brothers, David Clyde Hess of Inverness, FL, Gerald Wallace Hess of Davenport, IA, and George Wayne Hess of Marshalltown, IA; 2 nieces, 3 caregivers and Kathy. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Oak Hill Cemetery. Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Meyer Chapel is handling arrangements.
