Theodore P Grzegorek,78, of Newburgh, Ind., passed away Tuesday April 22nd at Home. He was born May 17th, 1935 in Belleville, Il.
He graduated from Newburgh High School in 1954. He served in the US Navy. In 1960 he founded Hydraulic Jack Service in Evansville and retired as owner in 1996. He was a proud member of American Legion Post#44 in Newburgh, where he served on the Honor Guard. He was a member of the Newburgh Jaycees, where he was honored as a JCI Senator. He coached baseball for many years at Newburgh Little League, Newburgh Babe Ruth, and Newburgh American Legion. He enjoyed his family, the outdoors and his beloved St. Louis Cardinals.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and one grandson.
He is survived by his wife of many years Shirley (Augspurger) Grzegorek: Sons Robert (Kim) and Brian (Jennifer) Grzegorek; daughters Becky (Bill) Green, and Lori (Tom) Anderson. Grandchildren Tyler and Wesley Green, Megan, Michael and Cameron Grzegorek, and Nick Anderson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2014, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd., Newburgh, Ind. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery with Military Rites.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314. Additional visitation will be 9 a.m. to Mass time Saturday at the church.
