Tommy L. Guffey

Tommy L. Guffey, 79, of Elberfeld, IN, passed away, Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at his home.  He was born June 30, 1938, in New Castle, IN, to Delmar and Inez (Clark) Guffey. 

Tommy attended Bosse High School, was a United States Army Veteran, and was a retired master carpenter.  He was a member of Zion UCC Elberfeld, The American Legion Post #256, and Eagles #427.

He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Lori A. and Mark S. Guffey; siblings, Gene, Oliver, Richard, Laura Gaines, Margaret Walther; and brothers-in-law, Barry Mansel and Mike Newberry.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Carol Jean (Thene) Guffey; son, Rick A. Guffey (Tina); daughter, Lisa K. Lantaff (Greg); siblings, Betty Sue McElyea (Billy), Fern M. East (John), Patricia A. Newberry, Nancy K. McIntire (Charles), Beverly J. Mansel; sister-in-law, Wilma Guffey; and grandchildren, Travis J., Logan M. (Abby), Lindsey E. Lantaff, Miranda K. Simmons (Dylan).

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Volkman Chapel, 2nd & Elm Sts., Elberfeld, IN (812) 983-4211.  Burial will follow in Zion UCC Cemetery.
