Victor M. "High Pockets" Williams
Victor M. "High Pockets" Williams, 76, of Newburgh, passed away Tuesday, August
2, 2011. He was born in Newburgh, November 7, 1934 to Kelley and Alta Williams.
He was a retired truck driver and his CB handle was "High Pockets". He drove for JH
Rudolph and Co. for 20 years and Signal Delivery. He owned Williams Transport, a
family business in Newburgh. He was a member of American Legion Kapperman
Post#44 and Masonic Lodge Newburgh. Vic enjoyed NASCAR races and camping
and spending time with his family and friends. Vic loved his many dogs including,
Max, Peanut, and Cashew.
Vic is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Jeanette (Schmidt) Williams; children,
Trudy and Leo Miller, Brent and Madonna Williams, Duane Williams and Lisa Forler,
Lee Williams and Pattie Lyons, Lona and Bill Mangold; grandchildren, Carolyn (Miller)
and Nate Whyte, Tim and Kaci Miller, Kelley and Katie Miller, Christopher Williams,
Michael Williams, Emily Mangold, Nichole Williams, Jamie Mangold, Savannah
Williams, Brent Williams, Jr., Kendra Mangold; great-grandchildren, Rhett and Ruby
Miller, Logan, William, and Luke Whyte, Lily and Kinley Miller, Jalynn and Micah
Snyder Williams; sister, Mary Rachel Spinner.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2011 at St. John
the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd. Newburgh, IN. Rev. Fr. Joseph Ziliak will
officiate with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8
p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2011 with a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Titzer Family
Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, IN. Additional
visitation will be held Friday, 10 a.m. to service time at the church.
