Victor R. Jackson
Victor R. Jackson, 81, of Evansville, passed
away, Tuesday, September 16,
2008 at Core Nursing and Rehabilitation
Center.
He was born, December 15, 1926, in
Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Anna
Belle (Howard) and Oscar Jackson. He was
a member of the Plumbers & Steam
Fitters Local #136 for 58 years and he
worked for Habitat for Humanity,
building homes. Victor was a United States
Army Veteran having served with
Company K, 1st. Inf. Reg. 6th. Inf. Div., in
Korea and the Philippeans.
He was a member of V.F.W. Post # 2953.
Victor enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a
brother, James Jackson and
sister, Erma Fleming.
Victor is survived by his former wife, Dalcy
Jackson of Evansville; three
sons, Dennis Jackson of Fairbanks,
Alaska, David Jackson of Evansville, and
Charles Jackson of Hendersonville,
Tenneessee; one brother, Joseph W.
Jackson of Owensboro, Kentucky; seven
grandchildren, Deidre, Daniel, and
Diane Jackson, Jasmine Hancock, Victor,
Kaysie, and Matthew Jackson.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.,
Friday, September 19, 2008 at
Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Miller &
Miller Colonial Chapel, 100 E.
Columbia St. Evansville, Indiana, and
Saturday, September 20, 2008, 1 p.m.
to 3 p.m. at Plumbers and Steam Fitters
Hall, 2300 St. Joseph Industrial
Park Evansville, Indiana.
