Viola Catherine Ritzel Viola Catherine Ritzel, 88 of Evansville passed away Saturday, September 12,2009 at Golden Living Woodlands Center in Newburgh. She was born March 2, 1921 in Evansville to Jacob W. and Anna (Aman) Bengert. She graduated from Reitz High School and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Viola had worked as a secretary for the Food Service Department at St. Mary's Medical Center for 22 years and retired in 1984. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John (Kenny) Ritzel, February 25, 1996, a brother, Louis Bengert. Viola is survived by a son, Stephen K. Ritzel of Chicago, IL., and a daughter, Cheryl A. Harris of Evansville IN. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM., Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St., Evansville IN. 47711, (812) 424-9274, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM.
