Viola M. Schwiersch, 85, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at The Waters of Princeton. She was born April 5, 1925 in Ft. Branch, IN to the late Ben and Dora Sollman. She married Elmer Ora Schwiersch who preceded her in death on May 3, 2009. She was a homemaker who loved tending her garden, planting flowers beds and cooking. Viola was a member of Tabor United Methodist Church and had attended Christian Fellowship Church. In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by a sister, Velma Sollman and brother, Bud Sollman. Viola is survived by her children, Brenda Erwin (Duane) of Elberfeld, Donna Kruse (Hubert) of Elberfeld and Larry Schwiersch (Andrea) of Haubstadt; grandchildren, Nicole Ziliak (Lonnie), Amie Hulfachor (Mike), Steffney Kruse, Lauren and Alicia Schwiersch; great-grandchildren, Kyler Duncan, Kendall Hulfachor, Brylee Ziliak, Kyra Champa, and Alex Hulfachor; sister Bernice Tirmenstein; nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Volkman Chapel, 2nd. & Elm Streets, Elberfeld, IN, with burial in Tabor Cemetery in Gibson County. Reverend Steve Oeth will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 and Saturday, 9 a.m. to time of service at the funeral home.
