Violet Evelyn Willis, 96, of Evansville,
passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009, at
the Good Samaritan Home.
Evelyn was born August 11, 1912, in
Rumsey, McLean County, Kentucky, to
Walter and Elizabeth (Miller) McLaughlin.
She is preceded in death by her parents
and her husband Audry Willis, who died in
1980. She spent most of her adult life in
Evansville, was a member of Oak Hill
Church of Christ, UAW, and worked at
Chrysler in Evansville and St. Louis, Mo.,
she was also a member of the Chrysler
Retirees Club.
Evelyn is survived by a daughter and son-in-
law, Vonda and Jim Henderson of Plano,
Texas; a granddaughter, Cheryl Henderson
of Philadelphia, Pa.; two brothers, Gordon
McLaughlin of Rumsey, Ky., D.W.
McLaughlin of Owensboro, Ky., and nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services for Evelyn will be 10 a.m.
Monday, January 12, 2009, at Titzer Family
Funeral Homes - Miller & Miller Colonial

Engel officiating. Burial will be at Poplar
Grove Cemetery, Rumsey, Kentucky, at
approximately 12:30 p.m. Monday.
Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. today,
January 11, 2009, and from 9 a.m. until
