W. L. Joan Cole Joan (Burgdorf) Cole, of Evansville, Ind. passed away, Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Holiday Heritage Center. Joan had just celebrated her 77th birthday on July 7. She graduated from Barker Grade School and Reitz High School Class of '51. She retired from Ayr-Way East/Lawndale after 25 years of service. Joan was preceded in death by her mother and father, Valeda (Kolb) and Albert Burrgdorf; son, Michael Dale Cole; former husband, F. E. "Biff" Cole. She is survived by daughters, Connie of New York and Patti of California; sister and caregiver, Alvada "Skeet" Williams; nephew, Gene Stahl of Evansville; godson, Larry (Noalene) Stahl of Boonville; great-nieces, Taylor and Hannah Stahl of Evansville, and Mandy Bender of Newburgh. Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2010 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, 100 E Columbia St, Evansville, Ind. (812) 424-9274. Chaplain Greg Barnett will officiate and burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
