William "Bill" Joseph Matthews

William “Bill” Joseph Matthews, 67, of Newburgh, IN, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at his home. He was born December 30, 1956 to George T. Matthews, and Virginia Rose (Mundy) Matthews.

 Bill was a 1975 graduate of Southridge High School and worked at Sonitrol for 26 years. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, tennis and boating out on the river in Newburgh. He also loved his Dobermans. He was well loved and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

 Bill is survived by his partner of 40 years, Keith Freudenberg; daughters, Carly Kay Matthews (Tim Smith), Courtney Rose (Matthews) Grimes (Whitney); grandchildren, Kristen, Ty, and Jackson; great grandchildren, Liam and Lucas; sisters, Georgeann Singer (Gordon), Mary Winkler ( Donnie); brother, David Matthews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

 A funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN 47630, with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m.
