William C. Kohlmeyer, 87, passed away, Friday, October 26, 2012 at Deaconess Hospice Care. He was born
July 25, 1925 in Elberfeld to Alfred and Minnie (Silke) Kohlmeyer. He was a WWII army veteran and a
member of the Elberfeld American Legion Post 351, and attended Blue Grass United Methodist Church.
William retired from Whirlpool in 1990 and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
William is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy (Loehr) Kohlmeyer; daughter, Donna Brooks (Allan) of
Evansville; two sons, Michael (Peggy) of Huntersville, NC and Kevin (April) of Grandview, IN; sister, Elgene
(Ellie) Nolen of Evansville; brother, Clenneth (Shirley) of Elberfeld; sister-in-law, Joyce Kohlmeyer of
Evansville; grandchildren, Brian Moore of Noblesville, IN, Keith Kohlmeyer (Kayla) of Grandview, IN, Kody
Kohlmeyer of Grandview, IN, Jana Kohlmeyer of Odon. IN, and Sheena Kohlmeyer of Sylva, NC; great-
grandchildren, Max and Blake Moore of Noblesville, IN; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leroy, Carl, Herbert, Austin, and Cletus; sisters, LaFern
Kohlmeyer and Lucille Lammert.
Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Grass United Methodist Church Building Fund or Deaconess
Hospice Care.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Volkman
Chapel, 2nd. & Elm Streets, Elberfeld, IN. Rev. Reno DeMuth will officiate. Burial will be in Northview
Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Elberfeld American Legion. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8
p.m., Monday, October 29, 2012 and Tuesday morning 9 a.m. to time of service at the funeral home.
