Wilma King, 84, of Newburgh, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Woodmont Health Campus in Boonville, Ind. She was born May 6, 1929 in Wadesville, Ind. to the late Jacob and Carrie (Schweikarth) Schauss.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the St. John's Women's Club. In her younger years she enjoyed the PTA. She worked at Jerry's Market in Evansville for some 40 years. Wilma loved attending the family sporting events. She also enjoyed ceramics, reading, bowling, and playing cards with her clabber club.
She is survived by four sons, Donald (Lisa), William (Jo), Steven (Faye), and Randall (Amanda) King; two daughters, Sharon (Keith) Titzer, and Judith (Tony) Flittner; grandchildren, Amy (PJ) Gramatges, Jill (Josh) Gessling, Chris Titzer, Mark (Jennifer) Flittner, Matthew (Kristen) Flittner, Katie (Kyle) Rudolph, Gary (Michelle), Larry (Cindy), Andrew, Chad (Stephanie), Cory (Laura), Joseph (Sarah), Jeremy King, Kristen Nelson, Julie (John) Staalenburg, Abby (Jarrett) Busing, and Kelly Vincent; twenty great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry (Martha) Schauss, Donald (Janice) Schauss; sisters, Mary Jesse, Carol Ipock; sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews.
Wilma was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William King; grandchild, Kristy Jo; brothers, Earl and Gary Schauss; sister, Helen Floyd.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd. Newburgh, Ind. Rev. Fr. Attila Frohlich will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2013 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, Ind. (812) 853-8314 and Tuesday morning 9 a.m. to service time at the church.
